In this section, learn about the different content types. How to manage content as well as the components that can be used when building content.
Your website is built using several types of content, such as pages, news items, publications, and member profiles. Each item of content in your site belongs to a content type. Content types helps organize the content on your site – fields on a member profile are different those on a news item.
Many of the landing pages or summary pages on your site are built using Drupal views (e.g., news archive, listing of current members, summary of research topics). The current members page displays a list of active lab members sorted by member type and the member's last name. The list of members is displayed in a pre-formatted way. So, each time member node is add, the summary is automatically updated.
