Content Types

Your website is built using several types of content, such as pages, news items, publications, and member profiles. Each item of content in your site belongs to a content type. Content types helps organize the content on your site – fields on a member profile are different than those on a news item. 

BiblioBiblio nodes are used when a faculty member's scholarly content is automatically pulled from Scholars@Duke. 
Calendar EventEvents pulled from the Duke calendar.duke.edu system or manually entered.
ListList are collections of items related to a specific content type (e.g, News, Members, Research, Publications)
MemberMember profiles can be tied to Scholars@Duke profile
News ExternalNews articles that live on other websites (e.g., Duke Engineering News, Duke Today, Science)
News InternalNews articles that are written internally and will live on this site
PageStatic page content, such as an 'About us' page
ResearchDetails about a research thrust area in the lab

 

Note: not all of our template sites use each of the content types listed above. Some content types are configured to integrate with enterprise systems and third-party services on an as needed basis.
