In this section, learn how to create and edit navigational items using menu links and breadcrumbs.
The uses a hierarchical menu structure and allows nesting multiple levels of menu items. The primary menu is configured to display first-tier menu items as the main navigation. Second-tier menu items are displayed when you hover over a first-tier link. For example:
- First-tier menu item 1
- second-tier menu item 1
- Third-tier menu item 1
- Third-tier menu item 2
- second-tier menu item 2
- second-tier menu item 1
- First-tier menu item 2
- First-tier menu item 3
For most sites, 2 levels of navigation is sufficient. Third-tier items are not displayed in the main navigation. Contact webmaster@pratt.duke.edu for help configuring sidebar navigation, if more then 2 levels are navigation is required for your site.
Page breadcrumbs work together with the site's menu structure.
