Our Drupal sites use the CKEditor 5 tool for editing in a WYSIWYG. WYSIWYG is an acronym for What You See Is What You Get.
Many buttons in the WYSIWYG toolbar are similar to those used to edit an email or a Word document. Below are explanations of buttons that are less common.

The link feature lets you insert hyperlinks into your text. Clicking a link opens a contextual toolbar. The toolbar lets you edit existing links | or unlink them with a click.|
The media embed feature lets you insert embeddable media such as Images or YouTube videos into your rich text content. | |
The ordered list feature lets you create ordered (numbered) lists. You can use ordered lists where the order of the items matters (as in instructions). Setting the start index, or reversing the list order can be enabled separately or all at once. | |
The special characters feature lets you insert mathematical operators, currency symbols, punctuation, graphic symbols (such as arrows or bullets), or Unicode letters typically not accessible from the keyboard (such as umlauts or other diacritics). | |
The block quote feature lets you easily include block quotations or pull quotes in your content. It’s also an attractive way to draw the readers’ attention to selected parts of the text. | |
The horizontal line visually divides content into sections by inserting a horizontal line. | |
Use the insert table button to insert a table. Click inside the table to open a toolbar that lets you add or remove columns and rows . You can also merge or split cells .Table captions can be toggled on and off . | |
Use the accordion featured to create and display content in an accordion. Clicking the border of the accordion opens a contextual toolbar. You can insert a row above or below or delete a row. | |
The source editing feature lets you view and edit the source of your rich text field. | |
Paragraph | The paragraph feature applies HTML tags to text. |
Styles | The style feature applies pre-configured styles to elements. It works by adding one or more CSS classes to an element to change its appearance or add semantic information. Review the Style Guide for more information about the pre-configured styes. |
