Unpublished Content

By default, when content is saved it is Published or live on the site. When content is Unpublished, it's no longer visible in the live site yet remains accessible on the administrative side. Unpublishing content acts like a soft delete.

There are 2 ways to Unpublish content:

Unpublish content while editing a piece of content

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the page and deselect Published
  2. Click Save

Unpublish content from the administrative Content page 

  1. Navigate to the administrative content page
  2. Select a single or multiple content items by checking the box located to the left of each content item.
  3. The Published status filter can be used to filter all site content. This is helpful for locating unpublished content, should you want to do the reverse and Publish a piece of content.

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the page, select the action Unpublish content 
  2. Click Apply to selected items

Note: Any menu links to unpublished content will appear as broken links. They are not automatically disabled or removed from menus; you will need to do that separately.
